Kia ora. Thanks for a great holiday. Your hospitality was much appreciated. We loved this villa, the beautiful countryside, the clean fresh air and the warmth of the sun.

What a wonderful place! Thank you for your hospitality and consistently great recommendations. The house was even better than we could have imagined, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. We hope to be lucky enough to return. Mille grazie!

It has been a wonderful stay. I have accumulated memories that I shall cherish for a lifetime. You have been gracious hosts and all of us have felt welcome and at home in your beautiful Casa Singerna. THe excursions into Tuscany and Umbria allowed us to witness the beauty and splendor of this lovely and historic region of Italia.

It was like coming home. We knew what to expect and were not disappointed.

Grazie mille for our wonderful lodgings. Casa Singerna will always be a special place for us for many reasons. Our first family reunion is a success and a lot of it because of your attention to detail.

We could never have imagined the beauty of this place. You have done an amazing job with the villa. The only problem is that the villa is so beautiful and serene that one never wants to leave.

IF heaven is not like this, then God should get Himself a better landscape gardener.
For me, the keenest joy is to fling open the window shutters at seven in the morning and see the pines, the hills and the piercing blue sky. It is not unlike the scene in the film La Gloire de Mon Pere when the young hero does exactly the same and knows he is in Provence.
One of our favourite places is the little hill town of Anghiari, five miles away. It is dramatic to see, and beautiful close up, its narrow alleyways decked with flowers. A street runs through it and into the valley, dead straight for miles and so steep that every downward step has you wondering how you will ever manage the climb back.
WE go for lunch to La Buca in the village of Caprese Michelangelo, which is the birthplace of guess-who. You sit at a table, look at the scenery, and the courses start coming, unbidden. There are 10 of them, including antipasta, crostini, Parma ham and tender melon, omelette, pasta, veal, beef and ice-cream. This goes on for two hours until we are seriously stuffed. The restaurant is crammed with native families all squirreling away food for a long winter. We know no Italian, which does not inhibit lively chatter with neighbours on both sides.

We had a fantastic time at Casa Singerna and could find very little to fault, if anything.
Location-wise, we found Casa Singerna pretty much perfect. For those lazing about days it's up in the hills and there was always a cooling breeze which was very welcome even with the wonderful pool. That said, you can also travel to a wide range of places within a couple of hours so strategically it's a good spot. There's plenty locally to do and some very fine Italian restaurants close at hand. I've done a great deal of business travel in Italy and I love Italian food and the local fare rates in amongst the best. Prices are also so much better than the tourist hotspots.
I can unreservedly recommend Casa Singerna - my wife and I hope to make it back there sometime.
